The Barrington Lions Club Scavenger Hunt registration is open! Registration fee is $25 for the entire scavenger hunt team. The registration fee supports the Barrington Lions Club's community service projects and scholarship fund.
The Barrington Lions Club Scavenger Hunt begins at 5pm on Friday, June 9 and ends during the Barrington Street Fair on Sunday, June 11. This is a "go-at-your-own-pace" hunt and does not require two full days to complete.
On June 9 at 5pm participants will receive their scavenger hunt "task list". The task list will be emailed to the team leader. The list includes a variety of "tasks". Tasks are completed at the teams desired pace. Teams do not need to complete all tasks to be eligible for prizes.
On June 11, participants will go to the Barrington Lions Club tent at the street fair between 11am and 2pm to complete their scavenger hunt task list. You must attend the street fair to be eligible for prizes!

A team consists of a family unit or a small group (up to six) of friends. The responsible member of the team must be an adult, 18 years of age or older.

A member of the team will need a cell phone camera to participate in the Barrington Lions Club Scavenger hunt as some of the "tasks" require a picture to prove that you/your team completed the task. The photo will be shown to a Barrington Lions Club representative when you go to the street fair to complete your "task list".

A prize will be awarded to the three teams with the highest point count. An additional prize will be raffled among the remaining hunt teams.

Release and Waiver
I, on behalf of myself and my team acknowledge full consent, agreement and willing participation in the scavenger hunt. In consideration of the right to participate in this scavenge hunt, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, I forever waive, release, discharge and agree to hold harmless Barrington Lions Club, together with its affiliates, promotional partners, sponsors, event organizers, individual team members, owners, and lessees of premises used to conduct the event, and all other officers, directors, employees, agents, members successors, assigns, and legal representatives of each of them, all for the purposes herein referred to as Releasees, from all liability, any and all claims, demands, actions, causes and expenses of any nature, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, liability, attorney’s fees, expenses for litigation and/or settlement arising out of participation in the scavenger hunt. I understand that said scavenger hunt is not a race and that I must be alert and obey all traffic laws. By agreeing to this consent and release, I intend, forever, to agree and consent not to sue the Releasees in any cause of action arising out of my/our participation of the scavenger hunt. I agree that this consent and release shall apply to all members of my team.

You agree that you and your team will be smart, safe, and courteous. You agree to respect any and all participating businesses. You agree to use caution and discretion and obey all local laws at all times. You understand and agree that you and your teammate(s) assume all liability and responsibility for your actions and safety. The Releasees assume no liability or responsibility for your actions nor safety, nor actions and safety for your teammates, nor anyone affected by you or your teammates actions.
