Vision Service Projects
Ever since Helen Keller inspired us to champion the cause in 1925, Lions Clubs have served and advocated for the blind and visually impaired.
Lions are known throughout the world for their work to improve the lives of the visually impaired and prevent avoidable blindness. We support sight programs and services including vision screenings, eye banks and eyeglass recycling.

Lions Kid Sight USA
Early detection and correction of vision problems helps children prepare
for success in school. Rhode Island law requires vision screening of students prior in Kindergarten, grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 9, and new students.
Barrington Lions serve the Town of Barrington by providing eye screenings in local public and private schools.

Over 2000 Barrington students are screened annually.
