Environmental Service

Lions are working hard to keep the earth in its best condition and to create a sustainable and healthy future for all.  From recycling programs to park cleanups, the Barrington Lions work to keep our community in its best condition.

Bicycle Recycling

The Barrington Lions Club keeps old bikes out of the landfill.  We collect unwanted bicycles for the Red Shed, run by the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council, where they are restored for students, city youth, newly arrived refugees, and others.

This is a year-round service project.  To schedule a bike pickup, email us at BarringtonRILionsClub@gmail.com

As of December, 2023, 234 bicycles have been collected and donated.

Community Cleanup

Police Cove Park Sign.jpg

Police Cove Park was adopted by the Barrington Lions Club.  We keep the park clean and inform the town of anything requiring attention.

The Club also participates in other community clean-up events, helping to keep Barrington

beautiful.

Earth Day & Arbor Day

The Barrington Lions Club hosts Earth Day and Arbor Day activities as well as volunteers in community Earth Day events.
